About YWEEC

The YOUTH WORLD ENERGY EXPERT COUNCIL is an independent international organization. The main task of the YWEEC will be medium- and long-term forecasting means developing plans for 20-40 and more years, for those periods of time when the present-day young scientists and experts will come in authority. Thus, they should now think about what energy will be like in 20 years, what energy sources will be used and what should be done today to achieve this goal. Moreover, in the age of globalization and development of the human civilization it is expedient to reflect on development of a model of the global human community. The model can be developed considering the need for a global power system as a basis of the future world.

Task List

Specific tasks and projects:

  • Carrying out regular annual scientific and practical seminars concerning planning and estimating fuel-power sector of economy with respect to economic, ecological and social aspects (serially in the different countries);
  • Preparing annual reports on prospects of fuel and energy complex development at the global, national, regional levels with an ultimate goal of shaping efficient fuel and power supply structure of the world, harmonious with principles of steady social development;
  • Seeking solutions to global energy problems, in particular with this respect monitoring real presence of power resources in a certain region. Modern China and India with nearly half of the global population have no demanded quantity of energy for development. In conditions of modern geopolitics these countries enter the markets of power resources, bypassing world power giants (the US and European corporations). One of the aims of the Council is coordination of efforts in the specified direction in order to prevent disputable situations, including military conflicts;
  • Restoring the natural balance in a link: energy- ecology (for example, restoring the natural watercourse of the Volga in order not to restrain industrial and energy potential);
  • Reorienting consumer attitude of the population to the nature and natural resources;
  • Studying ways of an effective utilization of organic fuel (coal, oil, natural gas), increase of efficiency of engines and the systems using these kinds of fuel, and introducing energy saving technologies and methods;
  • Applying ways and technologies to reduce energy consumption;
  • Introducing effective methods of energy storage: accumulators, fuel elements and. energy transferring on distance;
  • Introducing energy saving technologies into electric transport infrastructure (electric trains, underground);
  • Propagating and introducing energy saving technologies in municipal services (in wide range - from technological processes regulation to energy saving lamps implementation);
  • Introducing cars with the hybrid and full electric drive;
  • Introducing systems of dynamic indemnification of jet capacity in distributive networks of high pressure;
  • Studying ways of effective utilization of renewed energy sources, and also their successful application in corresponding areas: solar and wind power, small and large water-power engineering, geothermal energy and energy of biomass;
  • Carrying out the analysis of plans for energy development with the purpose of revealing most energy efficient methods, the all-round analysis of all projects on energy receiving (wind, solar power and so forth) and their ranging in view of territorial features. As the result, it will be possible to recommend or not to recommend important projects to be realized in different regions of the world;
  • Controlling implementation of energy saving technologies by legislative decisions of the European Union, Russia And other states that are interested in using energy saving technologies as a method of partial decrease and restraint energy consumption rates.
